Yesterday, on August 1st, 2023, Marijuana became recreationally legalized in Minnesota. Wisconsin is now an island of marijuana prohibition in the Midwest.
Also, Reporter, Stephanie Rodriguez with CBS 58 stopped by Kind Oasis to interview us about our industry and the our thoughts about the state of Ill-legalization in Wisconsin.

In remarkably ironic fashion, today, August 2nd, 86 years ago, The Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 was passed to classify marijuana a drug and essentially tax the hemp industry into obscurity.
This act was spearheaded by the very first Commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, an especially vile individual; Harry Anslinger. While it was purportedly "intended" to curb the use of marijuana for recreational purposes, industrial hemp became "unintentionally" entangled in this anti-narcotics legislation. This made the importation and commercial production of hemp in the U.S. wholly nonviable, "coincidentally" benefiting magnates like William DuPont and William Randolph Hearst.
Hearst, despite constructing the most extensive media conglomerate in the 1930s, faced potential bankruptcy. The emergent hemp paper industry threatened his substantial investments and dominance in the paper milling sector. The stakes were high; control and influence over the era's primary information medium, the newspaper, hung in the balance.
Nowadays, Hearst Communications supplies programming to nearly all mainstream media outlets, including CBS. However, kudos to CBS for maintaining the article about Harry Anslinger and for interviewing us yesterday.
The laws prohibiting Marijuana are borne completely out of the ignorance, and greed. Legislating hemp out of existence for commercial use was also was a crime on a planetary level. (stay tuned for that blog)
Additionally, the definitional elements that classify Marijuana as a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act... Are Categorically False.
Marijuana prohibition has never been in We-the-People's best interest. It is a policy that protects corporate profit margins and the reciprocating politics they fund, whose mutual best interests are in keeping "We the People" divided.
Kindly, tell your politicians to stop supporting and perpetuating a policy that hurts We the People in so many more ways than it pretends to protect. Be Kind. Legalize it. Make the world a nicer place.
