In 2018, the Farm Bill removed Cannabis sativa L., also known as hemp, from the same category as marijuana. The plant must contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight to be qualify as hemp. This level is not enough to produce the psychoactive effects of marijuana, but it is enough to contribute to the entourage effects and overall benefits of the use of CBD products.
In effect, the 2018 Farm Bill made any extracts from industrial hemp plants, those hemp plants with less than 0.3% THC, legal on a federal level. States, including Wisconsin, followed those same guidelines, which is why people can purchase CBD products in both dispensaries as well as general stores throughout the state.
Delta 8 THC
Under the law, as long as the cannabinoid is hemp-derived, it is considered to be legal. However, Delta 8 can also be extracted and formulated from marijuana plants, which is illegal in the state of Wisconsin.
Ensuring the Delta 8 THC is hemp-derived, which is all we use at Kind Oasis, ensures the product is fully compliant with both federal and state laws and regulations. We only provide fully legal Delta 8 to our customers, so they can rest easy knowing that we have the best possible formulas and finished products.
The Delta 8 THC we use in our products is produced from CBD. It contains 0.3% Delta 9 THC or less by dry weight, and this information is verified through third-party independent lab testing.
