From Cold Brew to THC Seltzers: Functional Drinks We’re Loving Right Now
One thing we’ve always cared about at Kind Oasis is supporting good people making good products, especially when they’re close to home.
Wisconsin has a really strong culture around craft beverages, coffee, wellness products, and small independent brands. You can feel it when you meet the people behind these companies. A lot of them started the same way we did. Small teams, local roots, and a genuine passion for what they’re building.
That’s a big reason why we love carrying and talking about products like these.
Most of the brands below are from right here in Wisconsin, with the exception of North High Tonics out of Minneapolis. They all bring something different to the table, but they share that same independent spirit that we’re always drawn to.
Here are a few drinks we’ve been reaching for lately.
Collectivo Coffee Roasters Canned Cold Brew Lattes
Collectivo has been part of Wisconsin coffee culture for a long time now. Started in Milwaukee back in the ‘90s, they’ve built a reputation for quality coffee without losing that local, approachable feel that made people love them in the first place.
Their canned cold brew lattes have become one of those easy staples for us. Great for mornings at the shop, road trips up north, long weekends outside, or honestly just getting through a busy day.
A lot of canned coffee drinks taste overly sweet or artificial. Collectivo keeps things balanced. You still get that real coffee flavor, and the oat milk versions are especially smooth.
It’s also cool seeing a Wisconsin coffee company continue evolving while staying true to what made them successful in the first place.
Tree Huggers Cannabis THC Waters
Tree Huggers is another brand that really fits the Midwest vibe we appreciate around here.
Their THC waters are simple, refreshing, and approachable. Nothing overly complicated or trying too hard. Just a clean cannabis beverage that feels easy to bring into everyday life.
One thing we’ve noticed lately is how many people are looking for alternatives to alcohol that still feel social. THC beverages fit naturally into that space, especially low-dose options you can casually sip while hanging out with friends, sitting by the fire, spending a day at the lake, or grilling in the backyard.
Tree Huggers feels like a brand that understands that shift really well.
There’s also something cool about seeing Wisconsin cannabis and hemp brands continue getting more creative and more polished as the market matures.
Sprecher Infused THC Craft Sodas
If you grew up in Wisconsin, Sprecher probably needs zero introduction.
For a lot of us, Sprecher Root Beer was part of childhood. Brewery tours, family restaurants, glass bottles in the fridge, road trips. It’s one of those brands that just feels like Wisconsin.
Seeing them step into THC beverages honestly feels pretty cool.
Their infused lineup takes those classic soda flavors and brings them into a new category with Root Beer, Cream Soda, Orange Dream, and Low-Cal Root Beer options while keeping that signature fire-brewed soda personality they’re known for. The sodas are still sweetened with raw honey and built around the same craft soda heritage that made Sprecher famous.
It feels less like a company chasing trends and more like a Wisconsin icon evolving with the times.
Third Space Brewing Head Space
Third Space has become one of Milwaukee’s favorite breweries over the years. Their whole idea has always been about creating a place between work and home. Somewhere to gather, relax, and spend time with people you enjoy. That philosophy naturally translated into Head Space. Third Space’s line of hemp-derived THC sparkling waters and teas made right here in Milwaukee.
The drinks themselves feel very brewery-inspired.
Clean flavors. Light body. Sessionable. Nothing heavy.
The Pineapple Yerba Mate Boost and Peach Chamomile Chill are especially interesting because they move beyond the typical THC seltzer model and lean into function and experience.
It’s cool seeing an established Milwaukee brewery help shape what cannabis beverages can look like.
Darkside Coffee Roasters
Darkside has a completely different personality than most coffee brands, and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. Their branding stands out immediately, but the coffee itself backs it up. Bold flavor, rich roasts, and a more rugged, no-nonsense feel that connects with a lot of people around here.
This feels like coffee made for early mornings outside. Fishing trips. Hunting camp. Workshop coffee. Long drives up north.
We’ve always appreciated brands that stay authentic to who they are instead of chasing whatever trend is hot at the moment, and Darkside definitely has that energy.
It’s another great example of smaller Midwest coffee companies building loyal followings by simply making quality products and staying true to their identity.
Supporting Local Matters
At the end of the day, that’s really what connects all these brands for us.
They’re independent.
They’re intentional.
And most importantly, they feel real.
We love supporting local producers, regional makers, and companies that are helping build a stronger culture around craft beverages, wellness, coffee, and cannabis here in the Midwest.
There’s something different about buying products from people who actually care about what they’re creating and the communities they’re part of.
Whether it’s a cold brew before work, a wellness drink during the day, or a THC seltzer while relaxing with friends, it’s been fun watching this whole category evolve into something way more thoughtful than it used to be.
And honestly, we think this is just the beginning.
Stay Kind.
